I can confirm that changing over the logo is an easy job - did it on mine. I left the knob on a radiator for a bit to soften the adhesive and then used a small screwdriver to lever the 5 speed logo off. Just be careful not to lever too hard against the edge of the leather and mark it. I went in at one of the joins to avoid that. Ebay replacement had a 3m type tape on the back and fitted perfectly.
