Silver folding mirrors (Z4)

Post by Scaramanga » Fri Jan 05, 2018 6:46 pm

Hi All,
i had bought a set of folding mirrors for my Z4M but never got around to fitting.

They are silver and include a little module (which i think was needed for installation).

These were bought from ebay from a reputable seller, so i believe they are in full working condition but i cannot be sure. Unfortunately, I managed to break one mirror and the little plastic bracket when trying to remove.

Mirrors are generally in good condition, but i'd prefer whoever buys to come and collect as i don't want the hassle of posting and then receiving complaints.

£110 which i think is a good price, considering how much these would normally go for ?

Please note - the module is included but i believe you need a replacement switch.

Collection only from Reigate/Banstead area.

Thanks for looking!

If my folding mirrors are only working intermittently what do I need to get them working properly again? Switches, modules, not really sure what I need  If what you have is what I need to get them working again then I'd be very interested

I wish I could help but I’m not sure what the fault could be. To be honest, prefer not to split the set. Believe I have everything needed except the switch for the driver’s side which contains the button that activates the folding function.

Thanks - If yours work intermittently, it sounds like an electrical issue? When do they work and when don't they work?

Depending on the car, you will also need the switch as he says, but also wiring looms which are a bit of a mission to make/source the correct looms for your model, unfortunately it’s not just a case of “plug and play” :headbang:

+1, having recently retrofitted these to my pre-facelift car, using a post-facelift as a donor, and having full access to any parts I needed, I still had to modify the driver's door loom.

What about the facelift/coupe, does that require the looms making or sourcing? Or are they already fitted?
