Anyone know if these are a direct swap for a prefacelift? Looks like it might be.

You have to put the prefacelift electronics in the post facelift box but otherwise fine

Yes, but not a plug and play mod.

You need to split your existing pre Facelift dials, remove the circuit board and fit it in the Facelift dials :thumbsup:

Edit: as above :lol: :thumbsup: easy enough to do, just don't break any of the circuit board, like I managed :headbang:

I think I need the updated x3 stereo knobs to complement this on mine if anyone has done this

I’ve recently put as set of these in my pre facelift z with no issues?
2005 merlot 2.5 auto.313s.e46 m3 front brakes.Strut brace,poly bush’s front, m front bumper,modified grilles,bc racing coilovers,facelift lights all round,modified rear bumper,s/wheel retrimmed, Merc slk seats. scorpion exhaust, many interior mods.

Without swapping the circuit boards? What year is your pre Facelift? If it's close to the changeover, that could be why.

Mine is an 03 and when I first installed the Facelift controls with the Facelift circuit board, certain functions wouldn't work, namely air con and heated rear window buttons.

In my 2003, I had to put my pre-facelift board into the facelift housing. Easy enough to do
NO LONGER OWN A Z4 SO NOT AS ACTIVE HERE ANYMORE (IF AT ALL).
