This man smoked and his mush was interesting too. Double bonus....an interesting smoker as camera fodder. I asked if I could portrait him as he sat smoking and drinking beer in a local coffee bar. He said OK. He noticed my tremor and raised a brow. "Parkinson's....I am on medication" He said "So am I". "Parkinson's"? I asked. "Nah........anti psychotic" I stood back, pleased I had the 100-400. He looked a cross between an older McEnroe and a younger Keith Richard(!) In any event....he loved the camera and posed for all he was worth

Re: The Image Thread 2015
Wow!
My favourite is the Puffin in flight with beak full of Sand Eels - and the two puffins in flight. I'm guessing that photographing cars is a breeze compared to the patience and skill required photographing wildlife?

Re: The Image Thread 2015
Thanks, such a great spectacle if you can go for the day its a really good day out thousands and thousands of them.
Its actually very easy on the farne islands because there are so many and its so accessible, getting out and finding less abundant wildlife is a real skill which isn't really my forte but enjoy it non the less
Looks like this everywhere:

You're too modest - I know how difficult it is to capture birds in flight, your photographs are amazing

Re: The Image Thread 2015
Thanks dalecan and Taz
I used my 5DMKIIII with 70-200mm F2.8 MKII and a 2x extender. My gf was using my 70-300mm L at the time and I like the more weighty lenses.
Find it works great in a pinch although af can be slow at times. Looking to get the new Sigma 150-600mm, or the new Canon 100-400mm or a Canon 600mm F4 but can't make up my mind. Im heading to Africa in a few months for a 4 month stint so need to find something that is portable as I'm back packing, but long enough which is impossible with these sort of focal lengths.
Other idea is to put a crop sensor camera behind my 70-300mm which will give me 480mm but I'm a bit spoilt with the 5DMKIII's image quality now so I think i might be a bit disappointed with the results, need to get out and try these combos out.

Well I can't compete when it comes to photo quality but, spent last weekend going for a ride with a few other 350z owners and some other friends.
And yes I know I need a new bumper its seen better days but, what do you expect from a $200 junkyard nismo front end?
