I take it that the Z still looks like that after all the flooding?

It does thankfully! Although my girlfriend did see a sunken DB9 on Sky News, how sad for the owner!

(oops, just realised I've inadvertantly compared my car to an Aston Martin DB9... :D)

I saw the AM too, in a basement car park in Sheffield somewhere - it may have been OK, the water was still below the window line, just

My car is parked in a basement car park in Sheffield at this very moment. Thankfully I didn't have it in Sheffield last week or else I'd be in trouble!

Do you know if that steering wheel (not that particular one, I ain't no thief!!) can be retrofitted to a 2003 Z4?

I think it can, but I'm not sure whether or not you can rewire it so that the multifunction buttons work.

It appears you can retrofit the buttons so I would assume you could use this wheel.

what a great colur  I had the 2.5Si sport for 9 months before falling for the dark (M) side

I have to say it was very good to drive, easy to launch, fast in 'Sport' mode and great to chuck about. I still miss it sometimes!
