My Z4 CS Supercharged, Summary
Im sorry but i am not sure if i understood you well, your engine sayed kaboom after only 50k kilometers? If so..thats ridiculously low compared to the lifespan of the stock m54's are getting... They propably could last like 400 000 km..
So is this mean the supercharger shorten engine life by 8 times?! Thats sound sick and completely not reliable build.
Im asking because want to supercharge my Z4 with M54B25...
I want power but also reliability...
My engine is in great shape and burns 0 oil.
As you can see on plates there is a plan to convert this little beauty to beast (i think i need at least 300 crank hp and maybe a little weight reduction )
Cheers from Poland

Did you consider already any superchargers (VF/ESS/Gpower) ? Will you mount it yourself or let it install by workshop ?
Before you decide to do any mods check the engine compression, M54 are very reliable engines. Also when having a SC /Turbo its important let engine warm up / cool down - obligatory, and changing oil (in my case I do it every 12K km using only recommended oil for Vortech).
Keep in mind that not only engine shall be your focus but also suspension and BRAKES !! BBK or Z4M brakes is a must. Steel brakes is good idea too (Goodridge for example).
However it also raises a question of wheel offset, as original may not fit (18 inch), I used spacers, but having a wheel swap with lower offset is recommended.
Good luck with the project !
In Poland I know that already are at least three Z4 with SC (all 3.0).
