Re: It finally arrived!
I work from home and every morning I hop in the car and race up to Starbuck's and back. I try to beat my time every day. LOL Every time I go somewhere I type it into the nav and I try to see how many minutes early I can make it under the original estimated time. So I thought qualifying only suited me since I am almost always trying to beat my best lap time. I wish there was some way to save the past travel times to my saved routes.

How does the licence plate work in the States, about choosing letters? Does each state have it's own system, like could someone else in another state have the same plate?

^^ Yes, you choose according to what is available for your state, which may be in use in another. I used to have OVRKLL in Florida and in Maine, but haven't decided to add it on my car here in Georgia, yet.

Cheers - what's the limits on letters and numbers then? Once you have it, do you have it for ever, until you no longer want it?

Nice one, Veruca!
I had considered vanity plates for my car too. But then I thought... people won't forget my car in the first place, and I'd rather not have a plate people can remember easily in case they decide to start some schit with me. Dunno why but there's a lot of BMW haters around...

Limit set by the state, usually 6-8 characters/numbers. Yearly renewal (for a fee of course), then when you move to another state and register there, or let it lapse, it is available for someone else to use.

You can have a total 7 letters or numbers or combined. You can get a new vanity plate every year if you want.Wondermike wrote:Cheers - what's the limits on letters and numbers then? Once you have it, do you have it for ever, until you no longer want it?

I wish we could have more flexibility on plates, like that. Love it!
