Re: Scottish Highlands Tour
I note from your pics that you are not swimming on your favourite beach , not surprising I did once swim the on a sunny day at the beginning of September and it was a tad chilly
ZED 3 2.8 quick enough for an old bloke.. then I crashed it...now it's fixed

LOL, please note the fully-zipped up windproof Gortex jacket (plus sunnies!) I'm wearing in my photo link, taken in JULY. Swimming was not an optionmuppet wrote:I note from your pics that you are not swimming on your favourite beach , not surprising I did once swim the on a sunny day at the beginning of September and it was a tad chilly

But, oh, what's that - a hard top on a roadster?
Just remember I'm the roadster owner during winter with the roof down and no heated seats, and I was STILL cold in that beach photo, it really wa that bad!

Yeah, that the same beach
Must admit I did fancy a swim, but I'd left my Mankini in the car
cont
Kyle of Durness
This is where you get the ferry to Cape Wrath
I've never seen so many sheep. It was like they'd been dumped out of the back of a massive tipper truck
Loch Stack
Loch More
Struie Hill

Re: Scottish Highlands Tour
Gald you like the wheels, I do too .
As the trip progressed they got more and more dirty with brake dust etc, so don't really look their best in the pics. Being gloss black doesn't help either. Like anything black they look fantastic when polished up
Tuesday - Portree (Skye) to Tarbert (Isle of Harris) 192 miles
It's a damp morning as we head north from Portree to the ferry at Uig Bay
Awaiting the 9am ferry
Here it comes
Loading up
Off we go.......
It takes about 90 mins to cross the stretch of sea called The Little Minch, and get to Harris
Approaching Tarbert
Leaving the ferry to spend the day touring Harris & Lewis

We aim to please
Harris and Lewis are basically the same island, mountainous in the south (Harris) and flatter in the north (Lewis), and form part of the Outer Hebrides.
Spotted this sheep waiting for a bus
Heading into the mountains
