Re: Scottish Highlands Tour
Friday - Criagnure to Nr Ballachulish - 121 miles
Only a short drive to the ferry at Fishnish
Here it is
It's only a 15min crossing to Lochaline on the mainland
Lots of rapids as we enter the bay
Once on the mainland we head north. The car in front just misses a Stag
Glen Tarbert
Waiting for the Corran Ferry. It's only a 5 min crossing.
Was a lovely sight to see a group of classics getting off the ferry
Tracking our progress on the sat-nav
Headed north for lunch and shopping for tourist tat in Fort William

Re: Scottish Highlands Tour
Saturday - Ballachulish to Home 316 miles
Lovely views of Loch Linnhe from our bedroom
Unfortunately the rain started about 30mins after we set off. Couldn't grumble though, after the weather we'd had all week
Passing a castle ruins
Spotted a coupe of (what I think were) Sea Eagles
Stirling Castle
Well folks thats the end of another great roadtrip.
5 Islands
6 Ferries
and a total of 1785 miles
Hope you've enjoyed the post and it's given you some ideas for a future trip of your own.
Thanks again for all your comments
Until next time

Fab pictures!
I might try and replicate the same trip this summer... any chance you could share a "summary" of the itinerary?
Thanks
Attilio

A must any Scottish trip is the A82 from just outside Glasgow to Fort William!
This will take you all the way through Glen Coe!
Just Google images of Glen Coe and you will see why
