Fast road Zed build!....

Post by silverdevill » Fri Mar 05, 2021 5:59 pm

Thought i'd post a few pics of my zed and its progress so far. I've concentrated on chassis and handling so far as you'll see from the spec i've included below as there's really not too much around for the 3.0si in terms of power gains unless spending big money on superchargers etc, so i get my fun from the odd trackday here and there and superb road handling. Still a few things i'd like to do with her to make her into what i'd call the finished article but its slowly getting there!

Spec List:
2006 57k miles E85 3,0si
3SDM 0.09 wheels, 18x8.5 front 18x9.5 rear,
Yokohama AD08r's semi slicks 265/35/18 rear 235/40/18 front
YSR Pro sport coilovers
YSR adjustable camber plates
H&R adjustable anti-rollbars
Rogue engineering RTAB's
Rogue engineering poly rear top mounts
Driftworks adjustable rear camber arms
custom geometry setup
Ultra racing solid 3 point front chassis brace
Ferodo DS2500 pads front and rear
Roof motor re-located into boot
Carbon wrapped front grilles
Stubby aerial
Backbox deleted
Superpro caster increase bushes
Superpro ball joints
Superpro adjustable droplinks
Vibra technics engine mounts
Hel braided brake lines
Brembo xtra drilled front discs

one of my fave cars on the forum... such a simple yet focused build... really well done!

also that first shot reminds why i love the z4R so much, it just looks SO right when lowered with a decent rim and tyre combo, so purposeful and that shape is still one of the best designs around. This view , and angle with no roof cant be matched but the coupe imo.

Hahaha!... Cheers mate, I use one of the wife's old soft makeup brushes and various potions to get in all the nooks and crannies. Takes ages but I try to stay on top of it regularly. :D

Very Smart sir! We've spoken on Facebook about trackdays, and tyre choices if I recall - either way, really like what you've done with the car, bet it's a hoot on track! Have you been tempted to fit an LSD? Best mod I did to my old 3.0si coupe :P
