Competition Rules
"All photos submitted must be LANDSCAPE format (HORIZONTAL orientation) and have an original available without a border that is a minimum of 5 (five) megapixels (about 1900 by 2700 pixels). This will ensure a decent size and quality picture for the calendar that can be cropped and resized as required to fit the calendar format.

Remember the picture must be taken by you and the picture must contain your Z4."

I don't wish to be accused of 'sour grapes' but I would like to point out that it appears that neither James28 or Argentas entries comply with the above rules. James28 photo is certainly not landscape and it looks like Argenta is actually in his car driving it and so cannot have taken the photo himself :?

It's a picture mate it's not a Nobel peace prize.
First world problems right there.
Feel free to remove my entry.
I will gladly let someone else win thanks for all that liked the picture and votes for it.Quite poignant it's At the Clunie Dam memorial
Built in 1951,
The Arch also serves as a memorial to tunnellers who died in a freak accident during the driving of the tunnel: A charge at the working face was exploded prematurely by lightning striking the hillside above.

I like Chidda's picture. Partly because blue goes well with the straw, but mostly because it looks like he's gone insane and driven into a field.

:D you could always get over it the way Bz4kev has
Im assuming the landscape format was due to each monthly winner going into a yearly Z4 Forum calendar? Not sure that even happens anymore :?

Fair points in both respects from someone who enters the comp every month.

We tend to ignore the landscape requirement these days since the calendar is no longer being produced, but the issue with Argenta’s entry is valid and I have asked him to confirm if he took it or not, and if I had noticed at the time I would have done so earlier.

Hi Mike, like to suggest given many of these rules were originally designed to make sure any winner would fit into a calendar, the mods now consider some relaxation in them.

IMO Argenta’s is a real cracker & highly likely they would have had a hand in setting up the shot... even if they may or may not have been the 1 to pull the trigger.

Given the prize is more the prestige of illustrating the best of our cars, not some life changing multi-million prize, like to suggest a review of these guidelines to consider the milage in making them even more flexible than they already are.
