Yesterday I took her in to the Wheel Alignment Centre in Southampton to have the alignment and geometry set up correctly. The car had been suffering quite badly from tramlining and wandering at motorway speeds for quite some time, and I had struggled to get booked in due to life getting in the way, but I finally managed to squeeze in a booking after work!
I had attributed the tramlining to the wide tyres, and the wandering at speed to "sticky steering" or an imperfection in the suspension set-up - remember I'm on BC Racing coilovers, so there's every possibility I've set it up wrong.

Up she goes, for a diagnosis and adjustment to achieve M3 CSL settings.
Diagnosis: too much toe out at the front, but camber about right; rear toe and camber all wrong, and not symmetrical!

After being dialled in properly, I took her for a spirited drive across the New Forest on the way home and was instantly impressed with the newfound agility and responsiveness. She feels planted and wants to be driven hard! A short blast along the A31 at motorway speeds show that the wandering steering has also diminished.
Overall, I'm stoked I took her in for a proper adjustment - I can highly recommend Nick at the Wheel Alignment Centre in Southampton if you're in the region and need your alignment done!!
