New Wheels - Finally sorted for the E89

Post by DibbleCorse » Fri May 18, 2018 8:21 pm

Hi

As a few will have seen I've been pestering Steve Smith and Mr Wilks with lots of questions but finally have taken the plunge, nothing too extreme, just some nice 19" CSL reps that my local wheel emporium cut me a deal on.

So these are RIVA DTM CSL wheels in 19" 8j & 9j and shod with Goodyear Eagle F1's non RF and the fronts have 10mm hubcentric spacers, we did pop a set of spacers on the rear but they made it look a little hot wheels so we removed those.

Here are a few pics :) and once again thanks Steve and Mr Wilks .... The rear may still require a 5mm spacer but not sure I can be faffed ....

Looks great , its easy to think the rears can stand bringing out but if you feel the inner arch liner with your fingers its a silly design with a prominent ridge protruding down & doesnt take much lowering / compression to make contact with tyre

Great Photos. You have the same year as me and wondered if you could tell me where you got the chrome side moulds with LED repeaters as I am wanting to do the same to mine. Also were they easy to fit or did you have to drill the wing for the locating lug? :D

Hi most people just cut the locating lug off, they are a bmw part & fitted to lci models so your local bmw dealer can get them for you

Thanks Rob. Appreciate your response :D
Where did you get the rear boot lid spoiler. That's a nice touch

Hi Moomoo

Just seen your questions, wasn't hiding, honest answer is 'no idea' as the chrome pieces and the lip spoiler were all on the car when I bought it, not sure its the best lip spoiler as the paints bubbles so need to get that re done, although am tempted to remove it and run a clean rear ...

To the others that have commented, cheers :)

Nice looking set up Dibbs. I am planning the same wheels and tyres but in black for my Mineral white.
Any comment on handling, grip etc since you had them fitted?
