First Day of Spring in Canada !

Post by Bumpy » Wed Mar 21, 2018 2:30 am

Took the Zed out for a spin down to Lake Ontario to celebrate the first day of Spring.
Sorry to hear Spring Weather has skipped the British Isles.
Lookin' good over here in Whitby, Ontario Canada.

Looking out to the entrance of Whitby Harbour. Toronto is on the horizon

That is about as far away from the original Whitby as you can imagine.

Sunny below London though, so that 's alright!

Hope you have heated seats when you get the top off! I'm over in Canada on a work assignment in Ottawa at the moment - was about -7c this morning. Heading to Toronto next week.

Not to worry about hard tops or heated seats.
I do have heated seats so I understand how amazing that option is.
The pics are of my 'winter set up" which in all honesty, I rarely take the Zed out in the off season.
I never take it out in slush and salt !
But with Spring arriving, I'm in the process of taking off the hard top.
I have 2 sets of summer rims. (That just happened somehow)
One is shod with the stock Bridgestone Runflats which I use for touring out of town.
The other is a set of 108's shod with Michelin PSS that I use the rest of the time.

Lovely scenery in your part of the world OP.

I think Spring may have come to the UK now - after the snow at the weekend it was 12.5 degrees C and sunny in the South East today. I'm hoping that continues!

Your car looks great too - I don't think I've seen a white E85 before. And your winter rims look really good - are they a BMW wheel?
Coupes because stunning!
Current - Silver Grey MC, Imola Red heated Nappa & carbon trim. Aeros, H & R Coil-overs, 224s, OE Strut brace, Nav, cup-holders, DSP Hi-Fi, pdc, cruise, MFSW, no CDV! E90 330i daily
Gone - Montego Blue
Gone - Ruby Black

Thanks for the compliments Mr. Tidy.
Good news Spring has finally arrived in Great Britain.
Actually temps over here are a couple of degrees below normal.
Snowfall is anyone's guess, what with all the hot air being generated south of the border.

I got the winter rims via Tire Rack, which is a large internet dealer in the USA. Delivery to my doorstep in 3 days, which is impossible but they did it. These rims are supplied by a company called Moda and this model is Moda 14. My other 2 sets are BMW 241's which the Zed came with and 108's which I got last year.

Great Pics, the wife has relations in Beamsville who own a large winery, which we have visited several times. (Malivoire Winery). Love touring all the estates for tastings. 48 day aged Ribeye in the CNN Tower restaurant is something else. Living out there you are a very lucky man indeed
