Welcome and congrats on new car.
I have exactly the same problem as you. My new car hasn’t got the wireless charger and I have looked at lots of options.
From experience, the wireless charging isn’t great for long journeys as it over heats and the phone shuts down.
On long journeys I always used the cable.
I have looked at a few options on Amazon and there are quite a few wireless charging mats that could fit quite nicely. Some have a higher powered cigarette lighter adapter to give faster charging, but I’m waiting to get the car so I can decide which one to go for size wise.

the wireless charging is not really worth it in my opinion, unless you want to keep your phone warm during the winter period
Its barely fast enough to keep my iphone at the same level of charge as before i put it on the pad.
space-wise there is plenty of room, i keep my coyote plugged in the usb, a garage door opener, my phone and my house keys down there and can still close the tray easily
