I wonder if it’s as discussed that they can get it “switched on” but any future updates/communications by the car with BMW would remove/overwrite it??Scubaregs wrote: ↑Tue Jul 13, 2021 1:31 pmWonder how these guys get round it.

Same here. First Editions have it as standard and took a little while to get used to it. Had a long trip back from Scotland in the dark and the Adaptive Lights in Auto mode gave an amazing amount of light forwards and to the side. Fascinating how the beam moves and switches as you approach and pass other cars. Obviously works well though as didn’t get flashed once for dazzling other drivers.
My wife had speed camera on her X3. We tried it on a road trip in Colorado. I think it flagged once and even then we didn’t see anything. Didn’t seem to be worth it.
Before I sold my car I didn’t have the option of the speed camera locators.IRD wrote: ↑Tue Jul 13, 2021 10:40 am You buy it through the BMW app at the BMW shop. I have just bought it for my new 330e Touring. Although I have to admit I haven’t tried it yet. So I hope it’s there. I also bought speed camera locations at £20 a year. That appears to be working fine. Mind you it galls me that I have to pay extra for these features on a car costing £46000.
Initially it appears on the screen in front of the driver and you have to set it to appear in the HUD. It counts down to the cameras and works every time for me identifying every camera. I spent a week in Edinburgh and it spotted all cameras there and on the Motorways. It's great, well worth £20 per year. When you pay for it an app is downloaded.
