M40i Wheel PCD

Post by sars » Tue Jul 06, 2021 12:25 pm

After ronk’s question about boot space and Argyll Andy’s efficiency with a tape measure, can anyone tell me or measure the bolt PCD for their G29 M40i as I want to confirm that they’re 112 not the BMW norm of 120. Measure from the centre of one bolt to the centre of the next one or the one after and that will be enough

If I can I’d like to be able to use the Mercedes winter wheels which are the right offset and size, else I’ll need a new pair :D

Thanks

Sars, I went out and measured, theses bloody wheels aren’t the easiest to measure and with the implements to hand since I’m WFH I think it’s between 63-64mm between centre of the bolts.

Tried it with a tape and improvised pincers. The above measurements are with the two pencils pincer model

And yes, I know they’re bloody dirty, haven’t had time to clean them

If you wouldn't mind try measuring across the maximum distance as indicated in the second image of 106.518 which should also be easier

      No problem :D

I honestly don’t know, about how they’d look. Everything is quite chunky on the G29 and those wheels are more detailed. I think you’d have to try them on and see how you thought they looked on your actual car

My thoughts exactly, I'm not sure at all, CSL's in bronze would be my preferred choice on a red Z4 :D
