Well the hare didnt survive either, but that was an expensive trip to the shop this morning :( Its cracked the main bumper as well as the insert part. I dread to think what the full bumper will cost.

That’ll plastic weld easily enough I’d think, small local repair and paint, £200 ball park should see it done I think. Shame to see it but that’s life on the road I guess.... :(

Gutted for you, I hope that COVID doesn't delay the repair and you get it sorted quickly.

Ugh that looks bad, my condolences.

A full bumper replacement + repaint is 1400 euro at the bmw dealer, not sure about the black piece if its only the plastic that's damaged its probably not that expensive.

Hopefully yours will be fixed faster than mine, it took them 6 attempts to fix it properly on mine.

I was hoping that till I looked closer and realised the structure behind that holds it is is broke. Taken it to my local garage with a body shop today. They are getting me the replacement inserts, then we are going to see if they think it’s can be repaired and only respray the area round the damage. If not it’s a whole new bumper. Hopefully they can sort it. I can always go down the route of a full new bumper in the future which will sort out all the stone chips which are nearly guaranteed to happen.

That's a real shame OP. :(

I hope with new inserts you can get it fixed and painted.

Back in 2014 a few months after I bought my first Z4 I hit a pheasant on the A43 near Silverstone, but I got lucky as nothing broke.
