BMW Service Plan
My first service is due April 2021 or 14,000 miles.
I'll probably think about changing the car a year after that, so the first service is going to be the only one that I have. Obviously not worth a £900 service plan!

Quotes I had were something like £330 for first
£550 second then £50 for Mot so works out £30 cheaper to pay up front plus any price rises. Seasonal checks not worth anything much, otherwise it’s a very expensive annual wash n vac. I’ve just paid upfront for peace of mind on new motor. It was such a lump of cash to buy it another £900 didn’t seem bad at the same time.

Bmw until fairly recently offered a five year service pack. £550 covered an oil service, brake fluid and the major service. It was a bargain at the price!
I bought one when I got the 35is in Aug 2016 and in those four years I’ve had my monies worth
1st £290, Brake Fluid £85 , 2nd £550

You don't stop playing when you get old - You get old when you stop playing!
So I bought a 35is with all the toys to play with.

Yes, I remember when I bought my first BMW, an E89, in 2010.ronk wrote: ↑Sat Sep 26, 2020 9:16 pm Bmw until fairly recently offered a five year service pack. £550 covered an oil service, brake fluid and the major service. It was a bargain at the price!

I forget the exact details, something like £200 for a 5 year plan, an absolute no brainer at the time

Bit more on service plan, email from dealer stating following
“BMW MOT Protect is now included on all BMW models so, in the unlikely event that your BMW fails its first MOT test, replacement parts and labour are covered on a long list of key items from electrical and lighting equipment to steering and suspension. Any issues will be addressed promptly and completely free of charge so you can land your MOT certificate with the minimum of fuss.” Anyone know what this is all about ?

I noticed this BMW MOT protect is also covered on my AUC warranty so it’ll be going on 11 months after it’s last one to make sure it’s covered and sorted if need beBigCheesy wrote: ↑Wed Oct 07, 2020 11:34 pm Bit more on service plan, email from dealer stating following

The plan I signed for at £900 is as per the attachment.
If I dispose of the car before the four years the plan can either be transferred to the new owner of the car or I can opt to have any works completed charged against the £900 and be refunded the balance.
I did notice that they are topping up the adblue.....I didnt realise I'd bought the diesel variant!!
