Never too old to learn a new trick.....what a brilliant idea!!

Thanks to the wonders of You Tube I can now with the press on one button; call up my favourite radio stations, call the Mrs or son, navigate home, check tyre pressures, check the weather, review my journey data, turn the central display off....

How did we manage before all this technology!!

It'd be intersting to see what others use the buttons for.

Regards all

John

I've not come across this. Can you share a link to the YouTube video?

You sir, can update your navigation system with a ships sextant from Amazon for $25.
And before you say anything a ship's sextant is not a young lass in a housemaids outfit

I know about these programmable buttons but I never got round to using them.

Maybe tomorrow, but I'll have to read the manual first :)

Best be careful how I reply to that one, being ex RN myself, from the days before we had women serving on board. :o
There still always seem to be some one in a housemaids outfit for crossing the line though.

There are lots of videos on YouTube of how to use them, this is a good example of options on how to use them, it's very easy

My 335d had them and now my new 1-series does too.
Must admit the only one I use is button 1 - to navigate me back home.
Something that we have already found useful though is if we're out, I'm driving and have my keys, then Mrs_zed wants to drive. Doesn't need her key, just enters a PIN and the car resets to her preferences.

On a similar note I tried talking to the car the other day. Bit like Siri, jut say 'Hey BMW.' So being bored and still learning it all I said "Tell me a joke".
Back comes the answer "Surely you're not bored already, have you tried Sport Mode?".
I nearly fell off the seat!
HQ of 'Norfolk Zed Rescue'.
Always happy to help if I can.

If the forum helped you, why not help the forum back. Thats the Z4 way!
