Well sure, if you go by just the numbers....nearly 400 HP compared to about 50HP and torque discrepancy to match! :o There is no doubt that I, and most, appreciate the advances "sports cars" have made in the last 50 years....but there was something special about cranking up that little non-turbo-charged four banger and driving to work along country roads early in the morning. Now I don't drive to work; which is an absolutely wonderful thing! I love retirement for sure. And, I do love this new BMW, although I do wish it had a manual transmission. As you say, it's the memories of past glories I suppose.
