I decided not to spec my car with the comfort package as I only really wanted the wind deflector (which I added separately). I’m wondering what happens to the hatch in the rear, behind the seats? Is it just not there?

Yes, you just get a flat wall of carpet between the seats and the boot has a solid back too.

I just bought one a pre reg car and nearly all Z4's seem to have the comfort package on them (90% or more was told by the dealer) He also suggested that with the few bits it has its worth the money. So far impressed with the heated steering wheel and wind deflector. No idea if i will ever use the ski hatch piece but i do play golf so maybe for the driver... Also the comfort access is handy but not necessary. I appreciate you may not want everything but your car will be in a small minority without it. Maybe a re-sale question ? Just a thought.

From memory here, it wasn’t very expensive either - £180 rings a bell?
Cheaper than a toilet but more expensive than my socks!

Just be careful next time your sat there all warm and cozy, heated steering wheel nicely up to temperature, favourite tune wafting from the stereo, bum gently cooking in those fine leather arm chairs, roof down, relaxed, looking up to the night sky 8)

That you don't cr#p on the seat. :P

Thanks all. I actually did try the heated steering wheel but found it too warm. Is there a setting to turn it down a bit?

I've placed my order, not sure that build has started yet, but to be honest, the only bit from the comfort pack I felt I really wanted or needed was the wind deflector which I've added separately. It's on PCP so resale doesn't make any difference as the packs don't seem to affect the final value of the car. But thank you in any case.

I did the same, ordered the wind deflector alone.

However, the Technology Pack is a must! Head Up Display, Harman Kardon sound system, enhanced Bluetooth, Parking Assist. I thought the latter was a waste of time but it does get you the rear view camera which is good.

The ski hatch vibrates when music is playing. It took ages for us to track down that it was the cheap plastic door creaking and vibrating. I’ve stuffed an old puffer jacket in there for now and all is well again. Hardly ideal but it was driving me mad.
