The rear and side profile of these are lovely. A shame the front is horrendous.

Now I know this doesn’t class as ‘nice scenery’ and the lighting is very poor but there we are.
I went to Morrison’s to fuel up before the car goes to BMW tomorrow. That’s as exciting as it got today.
Oh and PPF is now installed on the front bumper and the whole bonnet.

Yeah, likewise, and exactly what I have said to others since they came out...they will grow on you, then everyone will want to own one/start buying more of them.
Same with the e85, the Chris Bangle styling split opinion at first ,myself included wasnt too sure, then a couple of years later, bought my first one.
Same with the e89,got many moans about styling, now more people love them than don't.
The g29 is a lovely car, especially in m40 trim, but the front grille takes a bit of getting used to..all other angles are lovely,IMO.

Where did you find the SORN details... I think potentially I now own the 1 First Edition that was SORN after picking this up last week from the dealership after I peeked it hiding amongst the Covid cobwebs of the closed dealership In April (after being a Demonstrator I think);Obs-Com wrote: ↑Thu Jan 23, 2020 1:56 am
I think a total number of 44 First Editions came to the UK and most were pre registered by dealers. Current numbers show 43 being registered and 1 SORN. There’s not many M40i around - 383 registered and 11 SORN. G29 3.0 shows 298 and 6 SORN and 2.0 195 and 1 SORN.
With numbers so low it’s got to be worth a nod or a wave when passing other G29’s!
Will try and get more scenic shots in the coming weeks

Does the red really get that dark? or is it just the picture?Sladester100 wrote: ↑Thu Jun 25, 2020 4:13 pm Will try and get more scenic shots in the coming weeks
When i saw it in the showroom it looked a lot more like copper orange color.

I think it changes in the light and may also be the lighting in the picture.
Very interesting reading about the numbers of cars and those that are SORN. No wonder people keeping coming up to me and asking what it is and that they’ve not seen any on the roads. I’ve had two in the last week

You could well have registered the last of the First Editions. howmanyleft.co.uk show that all 44 that came to the UK are now registered.Sladester100 wrote: ↑Thu Jun 25, 2020 4:13 pmWhere did you find the SORN details... The M40i numbers have also increased a little but not a lot. There’s still not many around and I totally get why it generates some interest when out and about. As for the colour, the Frozen Orange does look more orange and less red in reality.
Hope you enjoying the M40i as much as everyone else seems to be. It’s still ticking all the boxes for me.
