Yes off to Cornwall next week with my daughter, should be fun!.....the B58 with ZF gearbox works really well, I thought I would miss a manual box but it shifts up and down just at the right times and don’t feel the need to use the padel shift. I’m keeping it around the 4-5000rpm for the first 500 - 1000 miles, my engineering background feels that’s the right thing to do, gradual but this engine is so good I could probably open it up now after 400 miles but will wait.

He's a lucky 4-day old boy getting out for a run in that :D

Hi and welcome to the forum
I'm still trying to keep mine under 5000rpm until it's done 1000 miles, but it is difficult :driving:

Thanks, it is tricky. My son is 27 and he had a drive on the way back from our trip out we both it difficult keeping it conservative, by the time my daughter and I get back from Cornwall that should be it all run in.

Very nice looking car. The design is growing on me. I wasn’t a fan in the beginning but looks good in grey..

Welcome to the forum Fletch. Enjoy Cornwall. :driving:

First time my son drove one of my cars he was 13. Scared the Cr&p out of me and the dog that was lose in the car park down at the beach. First time he drove my Zed he was 26, much more enjoyable when they know what they are doing. :driving: :D

I’ve heard that a lot IRD regarding the design growing on people, it’s interesting to see other people’s views, to be honest I thought the design was great straight away, everyone is different, the back and rear quarter are the best for me.

I don’t know if anyone has noticed but I’ve put a ceramic coat on it with an Exo top finish, scary decision initially but talked to many detailers and product suppliers prior to moving forward.

Glad you’re enjoying your new Zed. I like the frozen grey but my OCD couldn’t cope with the care for it.

I echo your comments about the gearbox and the engine though, it’s a great combo.
I’m nearly 200 miles in now and only going to 4000rpm at the moment. I can’t wait to be able to enjoy it some more once I’m past the 1000 miles mark.

I’ll let the forum know what it’s like re maintenance regarding the frozen grey, I’m always up for a challenge so decided to go for it, hopefully won’t regret it.
