Back to a zed with a M on the boot

Post by R10 WST » Tue Oct 15, 2019 9:01 pm

Well I've been a member of this forum for a few years now, firstly with my muched loved Z4M convertable. And now with a on order Z4m40i.
There has been a few cars in between......first came a Cayman S ( which blew up ) then came a slk55 ( too thirsty)
Then my current car a 2014 f- type V6s convertible . Now I love the looks of the jag, but it's been a money pit, with a list of problems that I've become tired of worrying about.
So while at my local dealership choosing a replacement bmw for my missus. I spotted the new G29,had a sit in it looked in the boot ( which seemed twice the size of the jag ). They had a m40i as a demo which I had for a 24hr test drive.
And that was it where do I sign.....Should get my black with ivory interior, mid November. Had the tech. Pack, comfort access and black pack. Options.
Finally settled on a X4 M40d for the misus, which I must say is a fantastic beast.
Hope to see you on some meets/ drive outs, soon.
Cheers
Rich

Blimey, bonus week for the bmw sales rep! Really be interested to hear more on how the slk55 compared (apart from being a bit thirsty!). Also what were the major concerns / problems with the jag?

I’m sure you’ll be pleased to be back in a two seater BMW, that makes a great sound.
I spent the day driving my M40i yesterday and I’m loving it more and more.
Hope you don’t have too long a wait for yours. Look forward to some pictures when it arrives.

Sounds a great duo Rich.

What’s the X4 like? I’m fed up with problems on my Range Rover and want to get back to BMW now that itch has been scratched. Looking at X5 and X4

 I know this is subjective but it’s the rear end looks that I’m struggling with on the X4.... did you try the petrol as well the diesel?
