Link to a youtube video below where they teardown the B58 engine from a new Supra. I assume the engine in the M40i is identical with the exception of the map and the petrol particulate filter in Europe. Thought it might be of interest here.
Overall they seemed to complement the build quality. However some points I picked up on:
1. A few too many plastic parts, hopefully they age well with the heat
2. Not sure about the timing chain and oil pump drive chain being at the back of the engine. Looks like at a minimum you would need to remove the geaxbox to get access if not the whole engine. Lets hope these chains are really lifetime parts unlike the ones we have seen on previous generations!

It would be worth introducing your self in the newbies forum. Along with a picture of your Z4/Supra/F-Type???Kasey000 wrote: ↑Thu Dec 10, 2020 11:41 am The first step is a complete teardown of the B58 engine, to give the team an idea of what they’re working with, and the direction the project might take. The process is detailed in this informative video, where we’re given a look at the B58’s interesting features such as an internal exhaust manifold and its variable valve timing system.
