Like the idea of it but at £475 fitted it feels a bit steep. Need to decide in the next week or so in order we can have it fitted prior to picking the new car up.

Anyone got it and have any views on it Pros and Cons.

Is there anything else on the market you'd recommend(don't want to go ripping the the car apart though)

Thanks

Sean

An extremley overpriced dash cam

Ive got a nextbase 312 in mine hardwired from halfords for about 60 quid, HD recording quality , if your gonna be in a bump , a £475 and £60 cam will show the same evidence.

Agree with this 100%
The "Advanced" eye isnt particularly advanced at that price point tbh
For a smidgen more money you could have a 4k 60fps front and 1080 rear camera with a night vision mode...

Ok thanks. I shall continue to use my eyes and driving skills and hopefully never have need for one.

If you purchase front and rear dashcams be careful. I had them fitted to my 2017 330d Touring. The rear one interfered with the DAB signal because it was too near the shark fin aerial. As a consequence I couldn’t get any of the DAB stations. :headbang:

A trifle difficult to fit a rear dashcam to a soft top unless it's attached to the roll bar? Also, the fuse box is in the boot, so it will be necessary to run the power cable through to the boot - anyone looked at how to do this?

I have front and rear dash cams fitted to my E89. The rear is fitted to one of the seat hoops. There is a thread by Anubis Zed showing how to do it.
