Zed4 discontinuation?

Post by TONYMOR » Thu Aug 08, 2019 10:39 am

:driving: I've read several reports that the latest zed4 along with some other BMW models are going to be a short run build .
Anyone else heard the rumour?

Zed4 discontinuation?

Yes, lots of reports in the press. It seems the z4 could be for the chop as BMW rationalise their bloated product lineup. However I assume this means they will not develop the next gen z4. Hopefully we will get a few years of G29 production. The production is outsourced to Magna Steyr which suggests they were not expecting mega volumes.

Been some discussion on the G29 market watch thread the last few days about this: viewtopic.php?f=52&t=114808

Be surprised if the new model reaches a third of the sales of the previous model.
