We've not posted on here for a while, i suppose it was because we felt a bit of a fraud once the old E89 had gone. Anyway we might start posting again..........

We chopped the old E89 in for a fully loaded M240i convertible two years ago. We never really enjoyed the M240 in the same way we did the zed, so we've now chopped this in for the G29 M40i. We haven't got a delivery date as its a factory build as there wasn't one in the UK available in red with cognac leather. We test drove a couple of times and looked at a black, white, red and light blue in the metal.

anyway this is the spec we've gone for.....

Basically means that your car has its own wifi network which means any passenger can log onto the cars wifi and get internet access rather than using their own 4G data. Also good for spotify etc, satnav map updates. It is a subscription based service though so doesn’t usually work out cheaper than your own phone data allowance....and of course it still needs access to a 3G / 4G signal

Looks like a nice choice, I'm sure you'll be pleased! I actually had a 68-plate M240i convertible directly before my Z4 M40i and they are very different cars indeed. The Z definitely feels a lot more comfortable and chilled out and is the ultimate touring roadster IMO.

I've got the Wi-Fi on mine too but never used it, I only really wanted the wireless charging and upgraded bluetooth but it's all bundled together

Picked up mine 2 days ago, even better than I expected.

Still getting to grips with the latest Idrive. Absolutely love the HUD. I will post a review when I get a few hundred miles on the clock.

we've got the HUD the Volvo and though i don't find it distracting i tend not to bother with it and turn it off. This account is a joint account but the Z is pretty much the better halfs and she wanted HUD and again it was a bundle thing with the uprated sound.
