No comparison. :chairfight: The old SLK/Crossfire. Is a terrible car in more ways than I could list if I had an hour to do so. :tumbleweed:

The G29 may not look perfect to many eyes, but it's still a darn good car by all accounts. :driving:

I know there’s no comparison in the way it drives and it’s capabilities. But there really is a comparison in the way it looks. Its proportions from the side, and the body line that goes from the front wheel arch and rises to the rear, and the side vent behind the front wheel arch. Even the most die hard BMW fan which I am one of can see that.

It's a front engined rwd roadster. Loads of them have a similar profile.

Yes you are right about that too, all the terrible looking front engined rwd roadsters that look like a Crossfire also look terrible just like a Crossfire.

I own a G29. Some of the posts on this forum are ridiculous tbh. Each to their own but the car is amazing in every way. I loved my e89 but this thing is in a different league. If you’ve not tried one, go do so. You might change your minds !!

Please don’t misunderstand, I’m not commenting on the way it drives. I have no doubt it’s a brilliant car, and I think it’s totally worth the 50k asking price. And one day I may come to appreciate the way the new Z4 looks as I have come to appreciate other ugly cars over time. But you can’t deny there are some body lines on the new Z4’s flank that are remarkably similar to that of the Crossfire.

You will get used to it.
E85/86 owners have been slagging E89s for years.
Now its the G29s turn.
