I went last weekend and seen it and also seen one again today when I took mine into main dealers for it's B+ positive battery cable recall.buzyg wrote: ↑Tue Mar 19, 2019 11:27 pmDo it. I drove over the bridge and took a look at one in the metal last weekend. For me it looks better than I was expecting, from the pictures. It was a black one, which I think suits the car well. Still not a fan of the front grill though.Jollyjoiner wrote: ↑Thu Mar 14, 2019 9:06 am Well when you see them side by side front to back back to front I'm still preferring the look of the E89.
But saying that, I do like new interior look. I still need to get over to Sytners in Sheff and have a look at one in the flesh
I can concur I'm not a great fan of the grills myself but I can say I'm liking the rest of the look of the car. I wish I could get my hands on a pair of those seats for my E89 cos they well smart

Yes I agree on the seats. Quite the high end look. Just as long as they are as comfy as the Sports seats in the ///M.Jollyjoiner wrote: ↑Wed Mar 20, 2019 5:01 pmI went last weekend and seen it and also seen one again today when I took mine into main dealers for it's B+ positive battery cable recall.buzyg wrote: ↑Tue Mar 19, 2019 11:27 pmDo it. I like the look of it in the full fat form with all the toys - but cannot justify dropping £25/30k on my current car and them dropping the same sort of dosh gain in another three years when the current car has only got 8k on the clock.

If you're concerned about it, I believe the mods can check the IP addresses of posts to see if they came from the same place - your location.greg81 wrote: ↑Wed Mar 20, 2019 1:29 pmWhat's worrying is I didn't type that message. Hmm...enzed4 wrote: ↑Wed Mar 20, 2019 2:38 amNo, but we have opinions based on what we've seen so far. This is a forum for discussing those opinions. And I'm sure many opinions will change as people get to see the g29 up close, or take it for a test drive. Some may still not like it after all the above, but that's life, and there's plenty more cars out there to choose from

Shame - that's a great colour!
But having the headlight lens go back over the wheel-arch looks a bit odd.

I think out of curiosity I will make some enquires re price of new and value of mine. - purely academic you understand!
It will have to be an M40i tho and from past dabbles in the web page, a new car in the req’d spec was £52/53k

I agree ! Very dangerous but Mrs K will be in my slipstream.
My current car has only 8k and is only £305 ish ved
An M40i would be a high initial showroom tax and £140 / annum plus the £310 penalty for being fortunate enough to afford it!
I’m trying to talk myself out of being silly you understand?
But the lid on the wooden box is on for a long time is it not?

The front end looks terrible. Rear end I quite like. Still can't believe it's the same weight as an e89 with that soft top roof that's supposed to save weight.

Extra stiffening maybe?
Just a guess - they do say it’s a better drive so maybe the underpinnings are better and a bit heavier?
