Anyone else sold on one..?
I looked at one yesterday when I collected my car from a service . Its huge compared to my E89 and in my opinion more masculine looking . I do think the E89 is a girls car in appearance . The front of the new car is very wide, I don't like the back . I do like the interior .

Be interested how much of a move it is from the 35iS, on paper they looks pretty evenly matched but we’ll see how the looks stack up in real life. I’m a little bit miffed that they’ve allowed the Z4 to lag behind its counterparts AGAIN though. Why won’t they put all the 3 series equipment in them? Where’s surround view, hud, active cruise etc etc.
10” or so screen centre, screen for the dashboard, head up display available, adaptive cruise available, it’s all there.

Cheers Sars, you too.
It’s a 2.0 I’m testing as well however they are letting me take out the frozen grey M40i for a blast up and down the bypass as a one off as they know I’ve got a GTS on order, good of them.... I’d mention the Boxy you’re thinking of, it seems to rattle their cages....

I honestly cannot think of a worse looking “ sports” car for sale at the moment.

Heading to Williams Stockport tomorrow to go check one out too...
I like them although they make very little financial sense. Will take some pics and post them.
TBH if you can afford the GTS buy that, doubt it will depreciate anywhere near like these will
Be a great pre owned car in 2-3 years tho, shame because cr*p sale means another ZM car is never going to happen.

Not yet.
The design move from the E89 to the G29 reminds me of how I felt when Mercedes launched the new SLK R172 replacing the R171. The nose looked too high and the whole front end too fussy, I prefer the sleeker cleaner lines of the previous SLK and feel the same about E89 vs the G29.

Then you have not seen the Veyron Diamond Edition.
An fundamentally ugly car, further decorated with bird s**t.
2008 Z4MC: heavy wheels | crap suspension | skittish rear end | wobbly engine | not enough induction noise | underwhelming turn in | inconsistent braking | lardy battery | chubby steering wheel

You don't stop playing when you get old - You get old when you stop playing!
So I bought a 35is with all the toys to play with.

Hah. No way would the key fit. The fob is probably a Faberge Egg.
I can't see how the G29 can be that ugly. It hasn't tried hard enough, design-wise. It's just a bit "meh".
Suspect it drives very well, by most people's standards. You can see how cars like the current RS5 etc. got luke warm receptions from the likes of Evo (compared to M4 comp pack etc) but are turning out to be pretty epic cars to live with on a day to day basis.

My bad, I got lost on the terrible configurator! I still don't think it's a ~£52k car, that is serious money and gets you into some serious cars. In 2-3 years when they're 25k yes they might be a good buy, but I don't feel like it's moving the game on from the E89 apart from interior uplift.john-e89 wrote: ↑Fri Mar 08, 2019 10:28 amChris1712 wrote: ↑Fri Mar 08, 2019 1:04 amI do see the appeal of a convertible! And that is the take away for most people... Cars have to be more multipurpose now, dailies not all out weekenders.MrPT wrote: ↑Fri Mar 08, 2019 12:36 pmHah. No way would the key fit. The fob is probably a Faberge Egg.
