Did anyone notice the vehicle displayed in the dash between the rev and speedo? Looked like an X-model to me. Seriously, that can't be in the finished car, can it?

Nice one, congrats on the order! What spec have you gone for?

The colour isn’t bad but not my personal preference. It’s the same shade they’ve used on the new X2 so could be worth going to look at one of those to get an idea what it’s like.

Mine is showing as February production, so I’m hoping it will be here for the launch on 9th March. I ordered way back in October as soon as the configurator went live

I think this particular car was probably a pre-production example so not quite the finished thing. I got to see the new 8-series months before they got launched and that was the same too, with the wrong car picture showing on the dash.

Thanks for getting back to me j400uk. The spec of my car:-
Z4 M40i Misano Blue with black leather
Technology pack
Comfort pack
Visibility pack

I like dark coloured leather as I once had cream and it marked way too easy. The body colour choice came down to Misano Blue or Sanfransisco Red. As I am a Blue fan, I went for that. Hopefully I will like it when I see it on the Z4.

I did look at an X2 in Misano and it was alright. Hoping it will suit the Z4 better.

The production date for my car is w/c 4th March with delivery expected w/c 25th March 2019. I understand it is being made in Austria.

I have been in touch with BMW Customer Services and they are trying to arrange for a demonstrator near to me so that I can view the car. Maybe even get a test drive.

Think it’s him! I was in the convoy too, was such a good morning. Surprised us all when the Lamborghini turned up at the pre-meet before heading over to BMW

What I've got now looks agressive from most angles - this thing just looks lardy! Without a folding hardtop I won't be buying one when the time comes. The only other sports car I can think of which has got one is a Ferrari Portofino - I probably won't be buying one of those either!

Suspect like the E89 it will be a grower but doesn't float my boat in the photos seen - hope in real life it's better. . .
We shall see.

I believe it’s still him - assuming sixspeed you’re referring to had it on a white coupe
