I can’t see the comparison either bz4kev... Z4 has much sharper styling, and overall it’s bigger. The Fiat has a more upright windscreen, less sleek and more classic looking.

Have to admit I thought Abarth 124 when I saw the first production pics, but thanks to buzyg's comparison photos I can see they're not as similar as I first thought (other than both being red). The Z4 looks much nicer. I wonder what it would look like with 'traditional' style kidney grilles (and will someone produce them as aftermarket items at some stage)?

My thoughts exactly. That said, the photograph of the Z4 above is the first I've seen that doesn't look utterly awful, so maybe red softens the ugliness.
Z4MC - heavily fettled for track use
Lotus Exige - sensible daily driver on the mods slippery slope
Westfield SEiW - in hibernation

Silver grille and alloys look decent on the red. Better than the first edition M40i.

Agree, the right colour, trim and wheels make all the difference.
The BMW UK site actually has an error... the M Sport model has the 19” wheels with silver trim on the kidney grills, but to get the 19” wheels you need to add on the M Sport Plus package which includes the high gloss trim (black surround to the kidney grills), so it’s actually impossible to build the car below!

Does look smart in that video! Think I’m going to stick with my order for Black with White leather though. Can’t decide how much I’d like the Red, and Misano Blue looks good in photos but not so nice in person on the X2 I’ve seen.

I think Misano Blue has become quite common throughout the BMW range, but San Francisco red is apparently a new colour... which actually appeals to me.

Dunno, but it certainly looks like the stubby vs whippy debate is finally at an end

The Abarth version of the Fiat Spider is not too shabby. Someone on my road has one.
Still the new Z4 appears to be leagues above.
