I'm torn. From some angles I think it looks fantastic, and I'm a big fan of the interior. However I just can't agree with the front... it's not aggressive enough for my liking, and I really don't like the new lights.

I'd have preferred a front that more closely resembled a baby 8 series, as I think that looks awesome.

Think im in the like it camp, some of the pictures look unflattering but the recent ones of the M40i have got me keen again. I guess I will have to wait and see one in the flesh.

Yes by June I hope to be placing an order for an M40i, so there may be some good discounting by then. That’s assuming Brexit has killed off my job by then

Quite like it but, looks a bit stumpy in general? Large overhangs, not a very squat/aggressive stance? Might look better in real life I guess. What's the timeline on these? When should I start hassling dealers :p

Found this latest update on the interweb...

The Z4 will be available with multiple powertrains. The base sDrive20i and sDrive30i will pack a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder reportedly with 180 hp and 250 hp respectively. The M40i will upgrade to a 3.0-liter turbocharged inline six allegedly with 382 hp in the United States and 335 hp in Europe due to stricter emissions regulations. The range-topping version will also benefit from better brakes, adaptive dampers, and stickier tires. BMW won't build a dedicated M variant.

Inside, the Z4 will take cues from modern BMWs with a digital instrument cluster and wide infotainment screen next to it. The center console houses the gearshift, buttons to toggle some of the drive systems, and a dial for controlling the infotainment system.

Magna-Steyr will handle construction of the Z4 at its plant in Graz, Austria, and production will begin in late 2018. According to rumors, the range-topping variant will start at around $65,000 in the U.S. Look for the roadster to arrive in American showrooms in 2019.

Looks good in the blue and I think wheel sizes will either make the looks or kill it depending on model spec, at least it will have the B58 so a decent engine, the side profile though makes it look lardy again, even more so than the E89

and I wonder if BMW will do the giant dealer contributions like they did with the E89

Problem is the top spec engine model will start to make it pricey so you may as well just go for a Boxster or Cayman. The FIAT front end is hilarious

Only until someone works out how to replicate the US tune for the full 382 hp!
