Can't you just open the bonnet and add some oil every day to get that experience?

As an investment, Lux is the only interesting model really. I like the (after) fitted clear lights on black cars and the updated rears, but that would make them un-original.

Agreed Paul, it removes their investment appeal, but mods like that are fully reversible if you keep the original components. Mine has changed fronts, sides, and rears, wheels, suspension, front grills, gear knob etc, but I have kept all the originals "just in case". I expect most Alpina owners have done the same (Perry probably even has his original diff all polished up on a desk somewhere  )

Good point - but I was assuming that if you bought the car second hand, it might not come with the bits.

I do find the clear front take years off the car's appearance (and the red/white rear spots the same).

If I was to fill another garage space, I would not mind one of those to have a play with.

Those Alpina boys are very sensitive you know John.

They shed tears as quickly as their car leak oil

You can understand Taz wanting an Alpina when Sepang ///M's are so common and two a penny...

The boys might be sensitive but the girls are a bit tougher :)
#308 might like a drink - nothing wrong with that & the roof is in fine fettle too.
Looking forward to Taz joining the clan some day
