SPOILER ALERT

Probably a wise decision mate - I watched the final episodes and had to fast forward through lots of graphic sadomasochistic sexual torture scenes
Sounds perfect. I will be all over this soon :D :whip:

Brilliant, just finished reading the 7th book 8)

Another one for altered Carbon
Cannot upvote The Expanse enough - it's brilliant. Really hanging out for Season 3...
Sorry to say I haven't read the books yet. I'll put them on the list for this year.
Looks like Altered Carbon just got elevated on the 'must watch' list as well

I decided to give Star Trek: Discovery a go and finished the second series tonight.
I am in no way shape or form a Star Trek fan - just couldn't get past the cringe factor/campiness of the old shows (including 80's, 90's tv shows), but I did like the latest 'reboot' of the movies so thought I'd try Discovery. I like that they have finally decided to grow up a bit - it always seemed a bit teenage boy oriented before, but things were looking up when they dropped the 'f bomb'
One episode seemed to totally lose the plot a bit (you'll know if you see it), but the rest was fairly entertaining. I'd watch another series but I think that might be it for the show.

Apparently there's a second series of Discovery commissioned, but I'm not sure they should do it. Wasn't that fond of it TBH. Anyone watching Knightfall about the Templars in Paris? I watched the first one last night but not sure if it's worth watching any more...

Oops, yes it was just the first series I finished last night. They broke it up mid-season and I thought I was watching 2 series.

Watched 3 episodes of Altered Carbon before binning it. Way too slow to get started for me..

Gonna give The Expense a go in a mo.

Couple of suggestions which are maybe out of step with popular TV but kept us entertained and are on Netflix 'Whitechapel' dark but quite clever in places sadly only four short series made. 'Longmire' slow moving but not a bad watch if you give it a little time.

Don't know if there on Netflix but the Jessie Stone movies (six or seven made) - again a bit out of step (story of my life) with mass TV and slow to build but you have to pay attention.

Have watched all of the Whitechapel series and liked them.

Started the expanse last night, liked the first episode where the PM was blackmailed into f'ing that pig! Second one a bit weird with the game show, but will try no 3 tonight.
