Probably the cheapest watch in my coillection but one of my favourites. Recommend a product called "Goo Gone" to fully remove the lettering on the case. The secret is to be very, very gentle and persevere - easy to overdo it!
I used nail varnish remover, although under very close inspection, need to take a second crack at it to fully remove unwanted text

Treated my Tudor BBB to a new strap for Christmas, made from a 1932 Swiss ammo pouch. Really pleased with the result as it tones in well with the bronze patina, not that you can see the true patina in these photos.

Just taken delivery of this, it has some nice detail. The 4 o'clock screw down crown rotates and locks the internal bezel, quirky!

Well my Tudor GMT has decided after a year it's got the date issue... Thankfully this arrived back from Simon Freese to stand in (although no swimming  )

Too many watches, the product of 30 years of collecting. I should probably move some on but you get attached to them don't you 8)

Bought it in 2018. and love it every day. :) I change the bracelet between metal and rubber and that's it. :)

Lets see your Watches

To cement my reputation as a cheapskate this arrived today :) Less than 1% of the cost of the Daytona it's blatantly copying but I'm really impressed with the quality. Seiko quartz movement, sapphire glass, 100m WR, solid links and nice clasp. I've seen some reviews where there have been some quality control issues and negative comments about the clasp but nothing to speak of on this one. All dials and hand line up perfectly and the clasp works well.

I know its not the real thing and there's nothing original about it but £ for £ its surely worth more than 1%!

They are ridiculous value. I've also been looking at their Omega Seamaster 007 copy but its an automatic which is not my favourite format.

Love a black bay bronze! that and an Oris carl brasher was the inspiration for me wanting a bronze watch... but i couldn't really afford either at the time and i have always fancied a seamster but couldn't really afford one... so i went about building my own bronze seamaster.

not the best photo but it is starting to age well, and keeps really good time! basically bought a cheap "scrap" omega movement off eBay and rebuilt it, whilst i was doing that i made the bronze case, crown and rotating bezel (access to a cnc mill really helped with this!)

some other watches i have are my daily ball engineer, great watches for the money IMO

Image

thats it with the prototype case for the seamster, the ball is currently in bits for servicing so whilst it was in bits i bought this to use as a daily

"Casioak" in green its really grown on me and I'm not sure there is better value in the watch market currently! comfy and i have never once worried about it whatever i am doing whilst wearing it!
