Couple of pics of the Geckota that arrived today. Really pleased with this watch, nicely finished with a quality strap, just needs an automatic movement but still looks great. Strangely it came with a branded wine bottle opener and torch pen

Thanks alot, I've got my fair share or quartz of which 5 need replacement batteries so I must get them sorted although I'm thinking of getting a caseback removal tool and replace them myself. I have Tissot TRace quartz which has to be sent back to them at 70 quid a timemr.tourette wrote: ↑Wed Apr 04, 2018 5:40 pm looks great..personally I like to have a couple of quartz in the watch box for those work days you need to get out the house quickly and cant be arsed setting an auto..nice pick up

Thanks for the linky will get one ordered, I think with the Tissot the crown guard has to be replaced for some strange reason, every watch place I've taken it to says they can't replace the batterymr.tourette wrote: ↑Wed Apr 04, 2018 8:15 pm70 quid you definately need a caseback tool it will save you a small fortune..i picked up the one below on amazon and it works just fineTitanTim wrote: ↑Wed Apr 04, 2018 7:47 pmmr.tourette wrote: ↑Wed Apr 04, 2018 5:40 pm looks great..personally I like to have a couple of quartz in the watch box for those work days you need to get out the house quickly and cant be arsed setting an auto..nice pick up

I think they just say that to guarantee the waterproof-ness of the watch.TitanTim wrote: ↑Wed Apr 04, 2018 8:33 pmThanks for the linky will get one ordered, I think with the Tissot the crown guard has to be replaced for some strange reason, every watch place I've taken it to says they can't replace the batterymr.tourette wrote: ↑Wed Apr 04, 2018 8:15 pm70 quid you definately need a caseback tool it will save you a small fortune..i picked up the one below on amazon and it works just fineTitanTim wrote: ↑Wed Apr 04, 2018 7:47 pm

If you're not an avid diver, I wouldn't worry.
They said the same about my missus Michael Kors watch.. I couldn't be arsed to send it back so took it to a few different watch battery replacement shops.. One wanted £165 to replace the battery.
Needless to say, £20 later with my own tools and a new battery I managed to replace the battery! Easy stuff!

sticky ain't wrong, Rob, although perhaps the quality of modern Rolexes is underestimated.

I like this Glashutte Original Senator 'Karree' Moonphase Panoramadate very much, but rarely wear it. I don't know why.

Some cheat sold me this Omega. It arrived with only one hand and the date only goes up to 12. Ba$tard.
Beautiful watch, though.
