Thanks both - completely understand your views and advice.

I think you're right, i'll push toward something we like with a decent enough name on it.

The Tudor Black Bay looks a nice shout so will add that to the search list. I looked at Speedmaster but look similar to the Chris Ward watch i already have (C7).

When i mentioned investment, i know i'm not going to buy something 'speculative' but i guess just want it not to lose too much money over the years. Thanks guys

Have you seen the Tudor Heritage Chrono (in blue/grey)? I'd love one, but bought a Speedy TinTin instead, so watch funds will be empty for some time....

Just checked it out, the black bay heritage definitely more to my taste. But thanks for the suggestion!

Thanks alot, I've got my fair share or quartz of which 5 need replacement batteries  so I must get them sorted although I'm thinking of getting a caseback removal tool and replace them myself. I have Tissot TRace quartz which has to be sent back to them at 70 quid a time :|

unfortunately you wo t know until you get the back off.. my 3 quartz watches all have different batteries.. you can buy big packs of mixed batteries on amazon such as https://www.amazon.co.uk/Sivitec-Assort ... +batteries but no real guarantee of the being great quality. I prefer to open them then order a decent quality battery of the correct type
if its got tits or tyres..its trouble :D

Picked this up at TK Max. £100 down to £25, 10atm waterproof and silicon strap, ideal for my kayaking, and a bit of fun. Cracking value!

Very pleased with my newly acquired Tag Heuer Jack Heuer 80th Birthday Edition Carrera which looks much better in the light than my poor photos show!

I love this watch! Sadly off my list for a while as I try to build up the watch war chest - it's sorely depleted at the moment :(

I fancy a new daily as I don't want my Omega 300m getting scratched up at work as i'm on the computer all day. I'd also like to play around with a nato strap so i'm after a Seiko Sea Urchin Pepsi, can anyone recommend a reliable place to buy? Any recent feedback for Creation watches?

Thanks
