Anyone else worried about Lewis?

Post by ben g » Sun Aug 02, 2020 10:27 pm

Won't be long until he holds that outright race wins record 8) although his whole BLM persona he's taken up recently has dampened my support for him slightly. Not the fact he's fighting to end racism, but to belittle people that aren't doing as he says (kneeling when they don't want to).
Red Soft-top Sterling grey 3.0i - Z4M Front, Eibachs, Polybushed, Clear headlights, Triple clear spot rear lights, Shadow Chrome 107's, Sport MFSW, ZHP.

Not worried about him at all, but there was some real excitement today and that made it real edge of the seat stuff for me.

Gutted for VB though - a few laps earlier and he could have made up some places, a lap later and he could have limped round to the flag like Lewis did!

While it's great that all the drivers seem to support the BLM cause I was pleased to see 7 of them didn't do the knee thing - they shouldn't feel compelled to do it if they aren't comfortable with it.

Really looking forward to next weekend now - will Pirelli really bring softer tyres?
Coupes because stunning!
Current - Silver Grey MC, Imola Red heated Nappa & carbon trim. Aeros, H & R Coil-overs, 224s, OE Strut brace, Nav, cup-holders, DSP Hi-Fi, pdc, cruise, MFSW, no CDV! E90 330i daily
Gone - Montego Blue
Gone - Ruby Black

I think it is very sporting of Mercedes to run around on three wheels to give the others a fighting chance.

I think it's very sporting of Pirelli to design tyres that are designed to fall apart when pushed hard. Vettle's set would have probably done another Gran Prix.

It was a pleasure not having to listen to him whining!
Funny how he doesn't spin off when cars overtake him to lap him. :D

That was the initial plan, but word is that they're having a rethink now!

Nope they are deliberately going a grade softer so it'll be 2 or even 3 stopper. Good way to hopefully not make it a re-run of the previous week I guess?

Still Grosjean to worry about, though.
2008 Z4MC: heavy wheels | crap suspension | skittish rear end | wobbly engine | not enough induction noise | underwhelming turn in | inconsistent braking | lardy battery | chubby steering wheel
2006 Z4 2.5si: gone

Can't remember who on the Channel 4 team said it but "someone needs to report that guy to the directors of the GPDA for bad driving".
