Can’t blame Merc though can you, as nice a chap and as good a driver Bottas is he’s not got the consistency for a such a seat. He’s had a good shot this year but it’s not good enough, I’d be utterly amazed if he’s still in the seat next year.

It Doesn't help that Mercedes are dragging their heels over strategy. They seem unable to take the initiative, preferring to waiting to see what the other teams do.

Yes Lewis would've lost out to Vettel regardless, had he pitted a lap later, but he wouldn't have lost out to Max aswell. Bad call by some numpty at Mercedes.

Merc held out waiting for a safety car that didn’t turn up on time once they’d twigged their balls up, and It’s good to see them getting beaten fair and square at last. The last few races have suited the Ferrari’s but they’ve now found some aero up front that seems to have given them a car capable of living with the Mercs on longer circuits, let’s hope Singapore wasn’t a fluke. Huge shame it’s come too late for a championship battle, Hamilton will take a 6th title unless his car throws its teddy out the pram for the remainder of the season, not exactly likely.

So the FIA 'clarify' a rule regarding the fuel flow and suddenly Ferrari are behind Mercedes and Red Bull?
But, "oh no, that's just coincidence" say our red-clad friends :?

Sad as it is I don't "feel the love" for F1 now that politics etc. are being dragged into it.
Politics, race, diversity etc. Detract from the experience and enjoyment for me.
I just hope it doesn't spill over into motorcycle racing or I'll have no sport to watch.
I like to think I'm an optimist.

Can't say I have noticed the politics etc. Don't bother with the pre amble or the post race stuff. I just watch the racing, when I catch it. Enjoyed my 12 mile walk on Dartmoor this morning, more than any F1 race. But I still find it worth a watch. :)

Alas I stopped watching GP1 after the Spaniards made it a national team sport.

Crazy race, today. EDIT - crazy ending to the race, today.

Still not worried about Lewis. He seems to be doing ok.
