Bringing this thread back, current bike:
Oh and I've still got the Honda Cub (restored), it's to blame for all this bike lark! After a head rebuild, carb clean and all sorts of other bits, it works just fine:

Re: Show us your...First bike / Ultimate bike
as with gedo and lux above my first bike was the mighty suzuki er50
Ive been lucky enough to own a few of my dream bikes which at the times included a hayabusa, honda blackbird, ducati 916, gsxr750, aprilia tuono factory, r1,.... i always find it funny how once you have owned them they dont seem like dream bikes anymore.. nowadays i think my lastest dream bike is a ducati diavel... which i will definatley own one day too, its an odd looking thing i know but i do like something a bit different nowadays

Thanks, it needs some more love now as I've been using it a lot, but I think a full strip down will see it right. I bloody love the thing though, so much fun and superb in London.maxman wrote:You have done a cracking job,the Honda looks mint

Some smashing bikes there, I bloody love the Diavel. I want to get a test ride on one to see if changing the monster out for one would be a good idea.
I also really want a go on a BMW Rnine T, however I hear the engine sounds ever so boring?

Re: Show us your...First bike / Ultimate bike
Dont have any of my first bike which was a Honda MBX50 but have pics of most of my others except my first Yam DTLC, an RD200 and a frankenstein Honda CB250RS with an XBR tank and twin headlights
2nd bike Honda CB125
One and only vehicle I have bought brand new, a DTR125 that I put over 80,000 miles on
First big bike a GPZ600R
I sold the 600 to buy the GPZ900R which was a mistake
The longest I didnt own a bike was 3 months after I sold the 900 looking for a replacement which was my FZR1000 Exup. Excellent bike.
At the same time as the Exup I had a TDM850 for commuting
Which was replaced by an XT660X
My Exup was replaced by the bike I own now which was my dream bike and I have no plans to change it.
Had it since it was just over 1 year old, a 2006 R1

Nice MV Wildfire they are a lovely piece of engineering.
My first bike was a Honda crf50 as a nipper have had all sorts of bikes since the only regret was getting rid of my Suzuki srad 750
I sold it to a mate who still has it tucked up in his garage, no pics im afraid never had a camera back then.
Here are 3 of my ultimate bikes
Honda nr750 v4
The new Honda rc213v road bike
And certainly wouldn't turn my nose up at a Roland Sands custom bike

Re: Show us your...First bike / Ultimate bike
So many sports bikes!
My last two were trikes rather than bikes, here is the last and most spectacular one, a Honda Rune. The Honda Rune was designed by Arlen Ness a Harley designer usually, and the bike was built and sold only in America to replace the Honda Valkyrie. The trike conversion was done by Trike Shop here in the UK. It is a flat six 1800cc engine and pulled like a train. I would have it back in a heart beat when I win the lotto!
