Re: facebook
All fair points - I do use Facebook socially, though not in the way Wee Bing does It is a social hub for him and his mates, and everything gets discussed and shared on Facebook.

Re: facebook
ok, I can see that now thanksGazhyde wrote:Facebook pages don't replace the forum, it's free advertising! Or thats how I use it with my forum, which feeds interesting stuff out to FB and Twitter automatically.gannet wrote:exactly - dont get itBing wrote:Actually, thinking about this, what the hell do we need Facebook for when we have this site ?
Look at it like this :- If you aren't on this site, but are on Facebook and you type 'Z4' in the search box, one of the first pages returned is this sites Facebook page. What they then do is click on it and then see lots of enticing Z4 related 'stuff' and a link to the main forum. Once you are on the forum you sign up, and you end up with a new member!
If current members who are also on Facebook post pictures and interesting Z4 related stuff, it will attract new members and you get new friends to talk Zeddies with
Facebook is a great tool if used correctly.
what I still don't get is the social side of it - how does anyone keep secrets these days?? or maybe they don't

Re: facebook
I linked to the FB page, but it's kind of boring compared to this forum.

It's more about spreading the good word of z4-forum.com into the cyber net. Also, maybe it can be made more lively by some more interaction. I would love to do that, but a college education is extremely distracting to me. Maybe you could help make it more lively? No joke*
