looks great, does the vapour blasting give the metal a type of polished finish? It almost looks like it’s left a coating on it? :?

Polishing is its job really Rob, it can’t obviously polish to a mirror finish etc, but it brings ally back to as new or a more polished finish as in the pics if that’s what’s required. A couple of the metal parts were soda blasted ready for painting or powder coating but I also ran them through the vapour blaster afterwards to give a shine so they could be spray lacquered if thats the look required.

Powder coating, that brings back a few memories - i spent several years working at powder coating factories & used to go home in a right state! :P

Same here, the bulk of our work back in the 80’s was spraying extruded aluminium sections for double glazing using automatic reciprocators, which were fast but a bit boring - occasionally we’d get one off jobs/short runs and get to do some hand spraying.
We used to regularly run into the huge ovens to pick work off the floor which had fallen off the jigs :P

Beautiful job John, absolutely fantastic, but it is a bit concerning that G29 parts look so bad after such a short time. :)
