Which one do I go for?
I was looking at Netflix at about £10 /month for their HD service.
I’m not a huge tv addict but I do like a decent film on s Saturday night.

You don't stop playing when you get old - You get old when you stop playing!
So I bought a 35is with all the toys to play with.

The problem we have found with all of them, Netflix, NowTV, Amazon Prime etc, is that after you have had them a while unless you want to trawl through older stuff there doesnt seem to be that much added regularly especially films.
The other annoying thing is that everything is all thrown in together, old films with new, nothing alphabetically or done by years.
It could all do with being redesigned so that it is easier to find something up to date or new to watch.
Dont get me wrong there is a lot of stuff available but sometimes takes too long to find something if just searching randomly.
The other issue is that they are starting to put adverts in the programs and you have to pay extra to watch without adverts, I think at the moment this is Now TV.

I only have Netflix but agree with Nitrix; they don't upload new films very often. The choice of films is not great either.
Netflix do make some interesting documentaries, though. 'F1 drive to survive' being a stand-out for me.
Also if you like docu-dramas about drugs cartels and the like, Netflix know how to churn them out.
As subscription TV goes, Netflix are pretty good VFM at £10 a month, though IMO.

All good things come to those who wait. I'm really impatient which explains a lot.

What channel is that on? I like those documentaries where people sell their unusual items to gold dealers

Ron,
If you have SKY Q HD you can get Netflix for free. Again, if you have SKY it might be worth upgrading to Q HD if it is cheaper or the same as £10 month for the Netflix fee.

I don’t have Sky tv - any subscription / pay tv would be a first for me.
I’m being nagged into it!

We've got netflix, amazon prime and disney plus. Amazon is great for a few choice things, like the grand tour or clarksons farm. But nearly everything else you have to pay for.
Netflix is my prefered one. If its on there, its included. Lots of netflix originals, both tv and films. But not many brand new films, or even big blockbusters from years gone. Occasionally a few good things come on.
And disney is great for disney and marvel. Great if you have kids, the entire disney back catalogue is on there.
Personally i prefer netflix. Has the best user interface and search feature, and plenty on there even if it doesnt have the latest blockbusters, but i dont think anything does.

Friends have been raving about Breaking Bad and that's what's prompted mrs K to talk Netflix

She will probably like "The Crown" too. There are lots of drama series which Netflix make so are exclusive.
Best thing with Netflix it's a rolling subscription, so you can cancel it at anytime if you don't want it. And there is zero advertising (for now).

I had EE TV until recently and looked at various options including Apple TV but just ended up getting a Manhattan set top box. I think I'm a bit too tight to pay anything over above the TV licence and I would only end up channel hopping all the time as too much choice
