Bye... Z4 gone
As the title says, the Z4 is now with a dealer, after trading it in on a 2014 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sport. A bit of a change from the Zed, to say the least. I just wanted something I could grab rain or shine, summer or winter and drive it. 6 speed manual, hard & soft tops and two sets of wheels. Special order colour (Hydro Blue), 55,000km so should have plenty of miles to go yet. I'm getting a new stereo and a reversing camera fitted next week as the tech is a bit thin compared to the Z4 (no heated seats, how will I survive...).
I know these are a bit 'marmite' but who cares - I'm just going to get out and .
Cheers, I'll check in from time to time and see how you're all going.

Well that is a change.
You've been around here a long time now so it would be a real shame if you just disappeared.
Hope to see you popping back in from time to time.
Cheers.

I like it, at least you can still get the roof off. Post a pic with the hard top off

You could have just raised the zed's suspension a bit and got a set of winters.

Love it Shane. Get some chains on it and go and explore all those roads the Zed could never touch in the winter. I never asked if you ski, but you now have the perfect vehicle to get you there.
Just get some heated seats fitted first.

I went down that route but was fortunate that I could afford to retain both

Middle of winter here, so don't think I'll be doing that for a while . The 2 panels over the driver/passenger come off ('targa' roof, with apologies to Porsche) so they'll probably be the first to come off as it warms up.

Your favourite song wouldn't happen to be from Coldplay would it? Or are you more of a Beatles fan, about a certain type of submarine... .
Anything I should watch out for? It's the 3.6 V6, not the diesel.

Thanks Rob . I have to say, when the 35i was 'on song' it was absolutely brilliant to drive, and I haven't found anything else that comes close for looks and performance at that price level. I will miss it, and if circumstances changed, I could see myself coming back to the forum with an M40i G29 , although at that money, I'd possibly be looking for a nice example of a Cayman S.Smartbear wrote: ↑Wed Jul 28, 2021 8:46 pmGood luck with the new motorenzed4 wrote: ↑Wed Jul 28, 2021 11:34 am As the title says, the Z4 is now with a dealer, after trading it in on a 2014 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sport. My predilection for yellow isn’t mirrored in my tastes in music..but it was a not bad hypothesis
