It certainly does, think yourself lucky you don’t live in Ireland their tax rates are ridiculous, all ICE cars will be hit harder and harder over the next decade or so especially the higher polluters, then they will start on the hybrids and eventually the toxic battery cars, enjoy it while you can :driving:

Probably maginally faster than a 35i that hasn't been mapped. :P

And it's a price I'll pay for an N/A engine that sounds so great with a manual gearbox bolted to it. :D

So £28 a month. How much is the tax on a G29 M40i?

I imagine it's plenty for the first 5 years as list price is over £40K - but I haven't really got the hang of tax rates for post 2017 cars.

Me too Mr Tidy. I think that is why I posted the question. I just got a vehicle tax reminder through the post for the wife's car. Zero pounds - though I still have to "tax it".

I only really looked at them last month when my sister bought a 2018 Fiat 500 Twinair.

Pre 2017 tax would have been free as emissions are below 100g/km, but post 2017 it's £155 a year. She doesn't mind though as it's £100 a year cheaper than the R50 Mini Cooper it replaced!

And because she lives in a London Borough with permit parking, her permit is cheaper because the price takes emissions into account - just lucky I don't live there with my MC and a 330i.
