Not quite a barn find but..
Came across this while out walking the dog on the Clywdian trail, 61k miles.. one careful owner, never seen rain was probably a nice thing at one time, not sure what it is but I'm sure one of you clever buggers will know

It is a an MG TD circa 1951/52. I had one when I was a student in the 1960s. They had a 1250 cc engine and were superseded by the TF and then the MGA.

I loved it and thought I was the ‘bees knees’ when driving with the top down. There was no fuel gauge. When there was 2.5 gallons left in the tank a green warning light came on on the dashboard. As an impecunious student there were few occasions when the light was out. The seat back ran across the car in one piece and there was no lateral support. So when going round corners you slid across. Mine was a good age when I bought it and the leather was really slippy. The first Summer I owned it I drove from Durham to Dorset for a holiday job without any problems. I sold it for £180. A good one is worth a bit more than that now.mr.tourette wrote: ↑Mon Jun 28, 2021 9:44 amWell done that man..i bet it was a nice looking thing in its day

Looking at where that one was spotted and the after market seats. I'd say it was a track car.IRD wrote: ↑Mon Jun 28, 2021 11:49 amI loved it and thought I was the ‘bees knees’ when driving with the top down. There was no fuel gauge.
