    Sorted!

A member fairly local to me offered his help ( Nanu) and that was greatly appreciated

As this is now going to be a twice a year task I thought it best that I establish a link with a tyre outlet - I tried a local fella and he did the swap for £15 - I would say that’s a result. - I go back to have the winters out back on in November- The four wheels can just fit in the 335 saloon with the rear seat folded.

So I bought a 35is with all the toys to play with.

Would it not be easier to fit all season tyres to one set of wheels and then sell the other set plus part worn tyres from the first set, not sure of the sizes in all seasons but if they do them you’d be £30 a year better off and without the hassle.

This is what I did on my former Z3 rather than swapping wheels and tyres come winter time. I guess it depends on how much you push tyres performance wise but as the Z3 wasn't really performance orientated all seasons were ideal. They easily handled a foot of snow with ice, like night and day over normal summer tyres. They can be a little soft though in very hot weather but generally were good.

Although it's a shame to read you can't do it yourself now.

It's good to know someone local offered - that's what is so good about this forum!

If I wasn't at the other end of the country I would have offered - I have to swap them on my 330i twice a year anyway!

Yes its a shame - A simple task but I have to say absolutely impossible and not that Im being lazy!
Im still reluctant to get rid of my kit in the garage tho. I suppose somebody will get a good deal when I turn my toes up.

I found it very reassuring when I got offers of help - embarrassing having to but good to know its there
